This year, there will be an election for 3 directors. If you are interested in being more involved with ROGS and being part of what promises to be a very exciting time for us, please do consider standing as a director.
“Director” sounds very formal, but the committee is a friendly bunch, with meetings held roughly every 2 months. It’s a great way to get to know fellow residents and to contribute to making Fortrose & Rosemarkie a greener place to live. The term of office is 3 years.
To be able to stand, you have to be a member resident in the Fortrose & Rosemarkie ward (what the constitution calls an Ordinary Member). If you’d like to know more, please do contact us – one of us would be happy to chat informally over a coffee about what’s involved and how you might be able to help.
If you decide to stand, you will need to be nominated by two Ordinary Members. Formally, they need to send their nomination to us, together with your confirmation that you are willing to stand. You can do this by post or hand to our registered office at 18 Chanonry Crescent, Fortrose IV10 8RH or by email to this address. You and your nominees can simply email us from the email address we hold for each person for the nomination or confirmation to be valid.
If you need help finding nominations, again please do contact us – we can help with that!
The deadline for nominations is 22 September. If there are more nominations than vacancies, an election will be held at the AGM.
